The Kazuri Bead Collection consists of affordable and original necklaces and earrings made from handmade, hand-painted ceramic Kazuri Beads from Kenya, East Africa.
Kazuri Bead Founder, Lady Susan Wood, started her business in 1975, by hiring two, disadvantaged women from Kenya who were in need of work. She used her business as a help center for needy women who had no other source of income. Although the company is much larger in size today, the same philosophy of providing employment opportunities for disadvantaged members of Kenyan society exists.
The Kazuri Bead Company is a member of the Fair Trade Federation and by purchasing these custom designed pieces, you are allowing 3Blondes and a Bag to contribute to the working mothers of Kenya and giving them hope of a brighter and more prosperous future!
